For the Greenies football team, Odell played wide receiver, running back, and cornerback. He caught 45 passes for 743 yards and 10 touchdowns as a junior and added three more on the ground.
He became the first player in school history to record 1000 receiving yards in a season after catching 50 passes for 1010 yards and 19 touchdowns as a senior. In 2011, he played in the U.S. All-American Bowl for the Army.
